Technical expertise with regard to the scope of the project:
Dep. of Nanotechnology contributes to chemical expertise of explored biosensors. After each step of synthesis and functionalization of graphene oxide/graphene with biosensing materials structural and optical analysis is carried out. After each biosensing measurements, chemical characterization of the utilized biosensor is also performed.

The group has access to different characterisation facilities such as electron-microscopes (transmission- and scanning electron microscopes), atomic force microscope (AFM), Raman spectroscopy (different wavelengths available: 457, 514, 785, 830), FT-IR spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS).
